LaLaLittleKids

At the heart of the LaLaLittleKids method are simple, engaging songs that get children moving, playing and discovering language in a natural way. Alongside the music, we share games and practical ideas that help you use these songs with children at home or in the classroom.

LaLaLittleKids makes learning English active, playful and connected. In our monthly newsletter we will guide you on how to use this method with your child or class.

Hello Song

for 2-5 year olds

Try the Hello Song with your child! This is the first song of the LaLaLittleKids method.

How to use it:

1. Sing and move together - follow the rhythm and actions.

2. Practise a short conversation:

You: "Hello, how are you?"

Child: "I'm fine thank you."

3. Use a cuddly toy - toss it to each other while practising the conversation to make it playful and interactive.

4. Repeat daily (or as often as possible). Make it part of your everyday routine to strengthen connection and have fun together with your child.

Tip: use it during natural moments, like when you're getting ready for school, spending time at home, or anytime you want a quick and fun interaction with your child. If you're in the car, encourage your child to use their fingers for the "jump, jump" part of the song.

Let's Clear Up

for 2-5 year olds

Available on Spotify. Search for 'Everyday Songs for Little Kids' by Genevieve Shaw

A lively LaLaLittleKids song that turns tidying time into playtime! Designed to help children tidy up while listening to music, the song starts gently and grows more energetic, motivating little ones to put away their toys with rhythm and smiles. A fun, musical way to end any activity together!

Extra Tip: Create a simple hand movement or gesture for the phrase “Let’s clear up!” and use it every time you say the words. Your child will quickly connect the action with the meaning — and start tidying up even before the music begins!

1. Get ready
Tell your child it’s time to tidy up and that you’ll do it together with a song. Keep the mood light and playful.

 2. Play the song
Start “Let’s Clear Up” and encourage your child to pick up toys, books, or art materials as the music plays.

3. Follow the rhythm
The music begins lightly—perfect for starting calmly—and gets more upbeat to help your child finish tidying with energy and fun.

4. Join in!
Sing along or say simple phrases like “Pick it up!”, “Put it away!”, or “Tidy the toys!” to keep the motivation going.

5. Celebrate
When everything is tidy, dance, clap, or share a high-five to end on a happy note!

What month is it?

for 4-8 year olds

How to Use This Song to Learn English

Listen and Move
Play the song and invite the children to move their arms in a circular, clockwise motion from January to December.
Start at the bottom of the circle for January and finish at the bottom again for December.

Daily or Weekly Routine
Sing the song at the start of every English class, or use it as a special daily routine to introduce a fun learning moment.

Birthday Jump
Once the children know the song, tell them to jump up when they hear the month of their birthday.

Ask About Birthdays
Go around the room and ask the children to say the month of their birthday.
With older learners, ask for the exact date to encourage fuller sentences and extra speaking practice.
